"In comparison to the Bee Bot, the Tale Bot is a far more sturdier machine but beyond this has far more ability, and depth to learn about coding by way of the pedagogically integrated mats provided with the kit. The options for students to try coding the Tale Bot by themselves, or to listen to direct instruction for coding, allow for various stages of learning development. The instructions are clear, and the information provided on life cycles etc is succinct. The robot moves very smoothly and responds beautifully. I am yet to explore the ‘free’ options with the mats. The coding buttons are far easier to interpret, and the audio function is wonderful. The repetition of the coding sequence to the learner assists students to move beyond simply pressing to logically thinking. It is a wonderful means of decomposing the coded sequence and developing an understanding of the algorithm, meeting the Australian Curriculum standards well."
