The Bambu Lab A2L brings high-speed, high-quality 3D printing to more makers than ever before. Featuring a build volume that's 105% larger than its predecessor, the A1, the A2L unlocks greater creative freedom for bigger projects and higher productivity. Combined with intelligent automation, reliable performance, and effortless ease of use, the A2L delivers exceptional print results right out of the box—making fast, precise, and dependable 3D printing accessible to everyone.
Features
Extra Large Build Volume330 x 320 x 325 mm. That's 105% more build volume than the 256 mm class, giving you the freedom to think bigger from the start. Print a full-size helmet in a single piece, or produce up to 40 fidget toys in one batch. Projects that once required splitting models into multiple parts—and dealing with assembly, alignment, and visible seams—can now be completed in a single print. |

Modular Add-OnsSwap in the cutting module, and the A2L becomes more than a 3D printer—it becomes a creator's workshop. Cut stickers, leather, fabric, paper, and more. Custom livery for your model plane? Done. A leather grip for your Excalibur? Done. Whatever you're making, the A2L helps you take it further. |
Adaptive Vibration CompensationAs a print grows taller and heavier, its vibration characteristics change. Most printers measure resonance once at startup and rely on that single calibration for the entire job. The A2L takes a different approach. Its Adaptive Vibration Compensation continuously updates the machine's resonance model in real time, accounting for both toolhead position and the changing mass of the print on the build plate. By dynamically retuning motion parameters layer by layer, the A2L maintains exceptional print quality from start to finish—so the final layer looks just as clean and precise as the first. |

Granular DamperIntegrated into the gantry are two Granular Dampers—sealed chambers packed with fine particles that dissipate vibration energy through countless micro-collisions. This proven damping method, commonly used in aerospace and precision equipment, is rarely seen in desktop 3D printers. By reducing residual vibrations that software alone can't eliminate, the system helps prevent ringing and ghosting artifacts, delivering cleaner surfaces and consistent print quality—even at full build height. |
Auto Flow Dynamics CalibrationMost printers calibrate flow once and assume every print will behave the same. The A2L takes a smarter approach. Before every print, Flow Dynamics Calibration measures how filament is actually flowing through the nozzle and builds a precise, nonlinear model of the entire extrusion system. Nozzle wear, filament moisture, material variations, and even a freshly opened spool are accounted for before the first layer begins. The result is sharper corners, cleaner details, and consistently accurate extrusion—print after print. |

Easy Multi-Colour PrintingAnyone can do multi-color printing. Doing it flawlessly over thousands of filament changes is another story. Built to handle the demands of long, color-rich prints, AMS lite has been proven by more than a million users worldwide. Even on jobs where a single failed swap could waste hours of printing, AMS lite continues to switch smoothly and reliably—print after print. |
Support 2nd-Gen AMSUnlock the full potential of the A2L with the 2nd-Gen AMS. Your filament is stored in a sealed, climate-controlled environment, automatically dried before printing and protected from moisture between jobs for consistent, reliable performance. When your projects demand more colors or materials, simply expand. Thanks to a shared intelligent buffer system, the 2nd-Gen AMS and AMS lite can be combined in a single setup, scaling from 4 to 8, 16, or more spools while maintaining smooth, uninterrupted filament delivery. |

Intelligent Print MonitoringMost print failures don't announce themselves—the nozzle keeps moving long after the print has stopped forming. A2L continuously monitors the extrusion path using a network of sensors and the PMSM extruder as a real-time feedback source. Powered by a Bambu-trained detection algorithm, it can identify filament tangles, runout, nozzle clogs, and air printing as they happen. When an issue is detected, A2L automatically pauses the print and guides you through the solution via Bambu Handy, helping save time, material, and frustration. |
Engineered for SilenceThe A2L combines active motor noise cancellation, precision linear rails, and intelligent fan control to create an exceptionally smooth and quiet printing experience. In Silent Mode, noise levels drop to just 49 dB—comparable to the calm atmosphere of a quiet library. |

What intelligent detection functions does the A2L have?
The A2L introduces the PMSM closed-loop servo extruder and a physical clumping detector, achieving more precise extrusion monitoring and reliable overflow (clog) protection. Furthermore, it fully inherits the well-received intelligent sensing system from the A1 series, including filament runout detection, air printing detection, and filament tangle detection.
What are the maximum nozzle temperature and heatbed temperature for the A2L?
Maximum nozzle temperature is 300°C, and maximum heatbed temperature is 80°C.
How loud is the A2L when printing?
The A2L features excellent quiet performance. In Silent Mode, the operating noise is below 49 dB (equivalent to a soft whisper in a library); even in Standard Mode, the peak noise is only about 52 dB. (Data sourced from Bambu Lab's laboratory)
The print area of the A2L heatbed is the same as the H2C's. Can I use the same build plate as the H2C?
Yes, the A2L and H2C can use exactly the same build plates.
What accessories are compatible between the A2L and A1?
Accessories that are compatible between the A2L and A1 include: the hotend, external spool holder, screen, heatbed nozzle wiper, and toolhead cutter.
Can the A2L be enclosed or used inside an enclosure?
The A2L has a built-in ambient temperature sensor. When the ambient temperature exceeds the threshold, the printer will issue an alert.
Therefore, enclosed printing of high-temperature materials is not recommended. However, if the ambient temperature can be kept within a reasonable range, enclosed use is acceptable.
How many AMS units does the A2L support, and how should they be connected?
The A2L offers powerful expandability, supporting up to 4 AMS units and 1 AMS lite connected in series, enabling complex colour printing with up to 19 colours (note: connecting an AMS unit will occupy one channel of the AMS lite). For details, please refer to: A2L AMS Connection Guide.
Can the AMS lite be top-mounted on the A2L's gantry to save space?
Yes, but doing so may increase machine vibration, which could affect the print quality of taller models.
Does the AMS drying function require an additional power source when used with the A2L?
Yes. Due to the A2L's power allocation limitations, the AMS 2 Pro requires connection to an external power adapter when using the drying function, and the AMS HT requires connection to its power cable. The AMS cannot draw power directly from the A2L printer for drying.
