Who is EinStar Rockit for, and what are its typical use cases?
EinStar Rockit is a portable and high-efficiency 3D scanner ideal for product designers, Car engineers, 3D artists and makers. Its applications include automotive part scanning, digital art creation, AR/VR content production, and scanning outdoor objects like statues and sculptures.
Does Rockit support wireless scanning?
Yes, Rockit has a built-in Wi-Fi module for wireless connection to a PC and doesn’t require any additional accessories, providing a more convenient setup. A USB Type-C cable connection is also available for stable operation in case of poor Wi-Fi and interference.
Can Rockit work effectively outdoors or under bright lighting?
Yes, Rockit is designed for outdoor scanning. The Laser HD mode works under bright light up to 110,000 Lux, and the IR Rapid mode supports up to 70,000 Lux, making it reliable for scanning large objects in daylight or under vehicle lights.
Are markers required for scanning?
Rockit supports Marker-free laser scanning in both crossed and parallel lines, aligning data via feature recognition to simplify workflow and improve efficiency. It also supports marker-based alignment for objects with few surface features in laser mode. IR mode supports Hybrid alignment, including feature, texture and marker tracking for different objects.
What is the battery life?
It features a chargeable battery with up to 3 hours of runtime. There are two batteries and one charger. Which means you can use one battery and charge another at the same time.
Is the texture resolution real 5MP?
Yes, absolutely. EinStar Rockit features a dedicated 5MP colour camera for texture capture. More importantly, our advanced texture mapping algorithm intelligently processes the data with minimal resolution loss, ensuring that the final 3D model achieves a genuine and high-fidelity 5MP texture resolution. This means you get photorealistic textures with sharp details and accurate colours, significantly enhancing the realism of your digital models.
