The Simple Servo Control Board provides an easy way to connect up to three servos to the BBC micro:bit. It includes an edge connector for the micro:bit to slot into, along with dedicated headers for servo connections. Additionally, the board features six croc-clip-friendly pads, allowing you to attach extra devices with ease.
The servo pin headers are spaced at a standard 0.1 inch (2.54mm) pitch and are clearly labeled on the board as Power, Ground, and Signal. At the bottom of the board, six croc-clip-friendly pads break out the micro:bit’s P0, P1, and P2 pins. Additional pads provide access to 3.3V and GND, while the final pad, labeled "Switch A," allows for the connection of an external switch.
The board is powered by 3x AA batteries via an attached battery cage. This power supply drives the servos and is also regulated to provide the correct voltage for the BBC micro:bit. A built-in power switch lets you easily turn the servos and micro:bit on or off, while a power LED at the top of the board indicates when the board is active.
The Simple Servo Control Board also features mounting lugs on either side. These are designed for use with elastic bands, allowing the board to be secured to your project without the need for tools.
